Intermediate

Year 5 – Year 6

Our Intermediate Program is designed for dancers in Years 5 and 6 who are ready to refine their technique, build greater strength and embrace new challenges. As dancers mature, classes place a stronger emphasis on technical development, flexibility, artistry and performance quality, while continuing to foster confidence, discipline and a genuine love of dance.

Students can train in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Acro and Technique, with opportunities to progress through RAD Ballet Grades 5 and 6, alongside Glen Wood Tap Levels 4 and 5. Graded examinations continue to provide valuable goals for dancers, recognising their dedication and progress while encouraging them to perform at their personal best.

Eligible dancers may also progress to Pointe, where they receive specialised training under the guidance of our experienced teachers, ensuring they develop the strength, alignment and technique required to dance safely and confidently.

For those looking to take their training even further, our Intermediate Troupe Program offers additional performance and extension opportunities for invited students. These classes provide dedicated dancers with the chance to challenge themselves beyond recreational classes, develop their stage presence and gain valuable performance experience as they prepare for senior-level training.
